JGDC short film screens in Washington, DC

On July 15, 2010, after Genetics Day on the Hill, Genetic Alliance hosted its second annual Gene Screen: A Night of Film on Health and Genetics, in conjunction with its Annual Conference, Advancing Novel Partnerships. The event was held at E Street Cinema, in Washington, DC. The mini-film festival was open for submissions, and after a competitive selection process, and the JGDC short film was screened as part of this event.

The JGDC short film was made by Martin Bell and Richard Gladstein, both of whom are Academy Award nominated filmmakers. Mr. Bell’s previous films, as a director, include “Streetwise”, and “American Heart”, Mr. Gladstein’s previous films, as a producer, includes “Finding Neverland, The Cider House Rules, “The Bourne Identity”, and “Pulp Fiction”.
