The JGDC continues to educate physicians, nurses, genetic counselors, mid- wives, etc about Jewish Genetic Diseases and the need to encourage timely and complete genetic screening prior to pregnancy. The Medical Grand Program always consists of a physician or genetic counselor leading a 45-minute seminar, then a personal story from an individual with a family member afflicted with a Jewish Genetic Disease, and a Q & A session.
